Sorry for taking an open post for this but yall can use it for other things as well. But I need some help. My sleep pattern is so off and it is really getting to me. I do have an ob appt on the fith and will bring it up then but was wondering what helped you guys. I am not stressing about anything nor do I drink caffeineCaffeine Caffeine anhydrous Caffeine citrate Caffeine-acetaminophen Caffeine-ergotamine so I am not sure what is causing it. I am 26 weeks today. I have been up all night and will probably fall asleep in the next hour but I can not keep doing this. Sometimes I do not get to sleep untll real late then have to get up early if DH has to leave for work early or he can not get the kids up for some reason. Today is Sunday so I can sleep but I do have to drive to town later today. I know I am rambing but I do that when I am tierd. And I am SO tierd it is not funny. It is like I am fighting sleep for some reason. Any suggestions would be greatful and appreciated!!
If you have worries, get rid of them if possible before bed. Think "happy thoughts", in other words. Sing yourself a song, no kidding it works. It overrides the uncontrollable need to re-play all of your days events. Imagine something totally pleasant and quiet, for instance the smell of chocolate chip cookies baking. The cookie thing worked up until I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, then it only pissed me off. Had to come up with something else. These techniques will not work if you are not as physically comfortable as possible. So get that way, first.
Thanks girls. I hate this so much. I think the massage sounds so great and hubby has offered in the past so I may take him up on that tonight if he is not that tierd. He gave me a full body massage a few weeks ago and it was awsome. The only thing that bothers me is that doctor has put us on not doing the deed until it is safe to deliver and I feel bad for him if you know what I mean when he gives me massages. TMI coming here but we would do that kind of thing as for play. Before I became pg.
Do you know if you can drink cammamile tea while pg. I will ask my doc but I think you can. I will go and get some when I get the ok from doc.
I have never thought about singing myself to sleep but I think I will go and get a nursery ryhm book tomorrow and read it to baby every night. That might help and thanks for the suggestions.
