Interrupted Ovulation irregular periods

Interrupted Ovulation irregular periods

Hello, my husband an I have been trying to conceive for over a year.
About 2 years ago I had to have 2 ablatios following pap test results that were 3B. In the last 2 yrs since all my pap test results have been perfect.
I have ALWAYS had irregular periods. I average between 6 to 8 periods a yr.
I took the pill from 2001 until 2003 (just over 2 years). During those years my period was regular.
Last year August I stopped taking the pill as we started trying to have a baby. Since then I have had 7 periods. The cycles have ranged from 52 to 73 days..
In Feb my doc suggested I start keeping a BBT chart to see if I was ovulating.
I had 2 very clear 14 days of raised temps (ovulation). As I went into my 3rd BBT cycle I got very excited about recognising "the signs". Everything seemed to be going well...my temperature went up, BUT I started bleeding, and after 4 days the temp dropped, and the bleeding got heavier and seems now to be a proper period (I'm currently in the 6th day of bleeding, temperature down to normal).
I have had spotting before inbetween periods (3 to 6 days), but NEVER during ovulation. Looks as if my ovulation was interrupted and went into a period.
In the last month I have increased my running exercise from 4 to 5 days a wk (total of approx 17 miles a wk), and I do Bikram Yoga twice a wk (been doing it for a month). I have lost 2 kg in just over 2 weeks. I eat approx 1700 calories a day (no junk or sugar). Cut down calorie intake by approx 300 calories/day about 2 wks ago.
I am 32 yrs old, 1.72 m tall, weigh 67 kgs. Don't smoke.
What happened to my ovulation?

Well, if you were a little heavier I might suggest that you have PCOS (Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrome). It causes irregular periods and anovualtion. Now, I have heard of women who have PCOS and don't have the excess weight problems. So, it sould still be a possibility. Have you had an U/S done??? Did it show anything?

You dont have to be fat to have P.O.C.  I am only 136 pounds and have P.O.C. and my neighbor also have the same thing and she is 5'9" and 148 with P.O.C - So have them check for that and Endo, ti is Better to be safe and get this out of the way!  Good Luck Victoria
