Irregular Periods and Pregnancy

My fiance and I have been trying to get pregnant for 7-8 months now.  The problem that lies is that i STILL am NOT!  My father put me on birthcontrol in 7th grade and I stayed on till my freshman year in college.  Now I am on but on Gardasil for preventative measures.  I heard that a woman could clean her system out by means of DSN or some appreviated measure, do you know what that way is? what do you think could be my problem?  I am a junior and my mother had pregnancy problems, she wasnt suppose to be walkin past 30, let alone have children even close to then, so she started having kids early.  What should I do, i started taking folic acid (one of the ways to increase pregnancy i heard) and one a days...is that healthy or okay?
