Is it my period or spotting from ovulation?

About 7 days ago I experienced a sharp pain in my left side around the pelvic area. I have never experienced pain during ovulation before but assumed that this is what it was. Yesterday (six days after the pain) I had spotting. At first I thought that it was my period and that the pain I experienced wasn't from ovulation but today there is no more blood. I don't know what the bleeding would be from, if I had a super short period or what? I'm really confused and trying to get pregnant so I don't know if I am on day one of my cycle or still waiting. My period is somewhat irregular so I can't really count the days because it varies from 28-35. Was the bleeding my period or does it have to do with ovulation?

I would say if you Ovulated about 7 days ago and had some spotting it is very possible it is implantation spotting (bleeding), which is good. I wouldn't say its a period, unless you normally have periods that are very light. How are you feeling? I would wait another week or when ever you expect your period and test. Good Luck ttc! KEndra

Hi. I was on birth control and had sex and the condom burst.  Just to be on the safe side i took the morning after pill.  My period was suppose to come the next week.  I started having cramps like i usually do but i was spotting, instead of my normal period.  Was that my period or should i seek a doctor?
