Hi Ladies, this might be a silly question but I just get so many diff answers that i thought I would ask you guys and see. Im 23wks and I really want to colorColor blindness Color blindness tests Color vision test my hair. Is it ok to colorColor blindness Color blindness tests Color vision test your hair during pregnancy or not? It seems that some people say it is but others say it isn't. The doctor seems to think its ok. Is this just an old wives tale? Thanks
I wear my hair coloured all the time but have only used semi-permanent vegetableVegetable laxative based dyes since I've been pregnant. I have to have it done more often but it's worth it. My hairdresser likes using them too because they don't stink like the other types do!!

I coloured my hair the day before my c-section, call me vain, but I wanted to look good (or rootless) in my pics. I think it is okay if you stretch it out and dont do it every 6 weeks.
My hairdresser says it is fine--though she does warn you that sometimes it will not come out as deep as normal and may not last as long--due to your hormones--also perms are okay-though the same thing could happen--not taking or not staying as long. If you are concerned about the dye touching your scalp and the chemicals--get a foil done.
I also was told its fine, as long as its a ventilated area. However, I did learn my leason my last pregnancy. My hair turned orange (hormones funny now, but wasn't then) I had to pay almost $120 to have it fixed. So my suggestion is have a professional do it, that way if they screw up they can fix it.
I have had my hair colored, and highlighted once during this pregnancy using a semi-permanent hair dye. My dr. told me it was fine after the first trimester.
My Dr. is one of the ones who said not to color your hair. I'm not sure if it's because of all the issues I had to go through to get to this point (I'm 22 weeks). Only bad thing about waiting is that I want to BBfeed and if I color after she's born, it will be in my BBmilk.
I have colored my hair in this pregnancy a couple of times but have highlighted around 3 or 4 times. Everything is okay here ... Highlights/lowlights dont get into your system as they are on your scalp so they are def. an option if you arent worried. You'll also get people telling you not to do it so it's ultimately up to you. I did wait until I was out of the 1st trimester to do anything at all to it.

i think ive heard that the hormones can mess with the color of the dye and turn your hair weird colors, but mine always comes out the same
