Is it posible to still detect LH sureges after ovulation?

Ok, so I am using the ovulation test strips with the lines to try my best to have intercourse at the right time to conceive.  On day 13 of my cycle I tested and the control line matched the test line exactly, day 14, the test line was darker,day 15 the test line even darker, and today, day 16 the test line is still darker than the control line, but shouldn't I have ovulated already?  My question is: how long after ovulation can LH still be detected?

It is very possible that you caught your surge at the very beginning. It can last up to 3 tests if you catch it at the beginning and the tail end of your surge. I get 3 in a row about once a yr.  It is also possible that one or two of them weren't fully positive. Some brands state that even though they are as dark as the control line, they also must be as thick as the control line. I have had very convincing lines and bbt did not go up, meaning it was not truly positive.  I use the line kind for every day testing. Then when I get what really looks like a pos, I use a CBE digi to verify. If I get a smiley, then I know it is real. The smileys are just too $$ for me on a regular basis. But, I get 2 or 3 cycles out of them this way. HTH
