Is it possible that I was misdiagnosed?

Hi I was 7 weeks 1 day pregnant & I started bleeding lightly last night so I got scared and went to the ER. They did blood tests on me, a pelvic exam & an ultrasound. They never told me the results of the blood tests and when they did the pelvic exam the doctor said my cervix was closed. However, the doctor said that I most likely miscarried because they could not see the baby in the ultrasound. But I am not bleeding that much, not even enough to fill up a PAD LINER & I am not cramping real bad either. Is it possible that maybe they misdiagnosed me with a M/C & that the baby was just too small to see on the ultrasound? Because if I miscarried wouldn't my cervix be open?? I am so confused and so worried because I am not sure whether I lost my baby or not. Unfortunately, I didn't think of these questions last night because I was crying but when my mother came to visit me today she said that I should be bleeding more... so is there still hope that I still might be pregnant??

There is such a thing as an early miscarriage in which the body re-absorbs the sac and blastocyst.  If your pregnancy faded a couple of weeks ago, this might have happened.  Did you have any previous blood tests with hCG numbers that told you of a normal rate of rise?

I don't know because I had just gone to set up my OB appointment, I didn't even get to go to my first one and supposedly the second one is where they check you.. All I had gotten was 3 positive (urine) pregnancy tests, 2 at home and one at the doctors, they never did a blood test or ultrasound until I went to the ER but they haven't told me the results of the blood test.

ive just bin through a similer experiance hun, but mine did end in bad news,  i was 8 week few days when first went into er, had slight bleeding did have mild cramps tho, did blood test , internal, my cervic was closed this was on a sat, they booked me in for scan tues, sill slight bleeding but i had a missed misscarrage, sac baby in side still but had moved down, then was booked in for procedure at hospital that helps ya pass baby, but it did end up natually happening at home, such a horrible experiance, then it was back in hospital to check its all come away, asking what it all looked like, :(,  this was just this tues 8 nov 2011,  me hubby wa devestated cos all weekend i was praying all ok cos know some do bleed a little some even all way through, just gunn try get back to normal nar, will try again. but dont think i could go throught that many times x x

I'm sorry to hear that but I probably did miscarry too that is what everyone is saying I just found out the results of the blood tests and the hormone levels were real low at 150 I have to go back tomorrow for another lab though I'm hoping for the best but I know things are not looking very good. I am still not bleeding a lot or cramping but I had a question.. How do I pass the baby? Or how does the doctor do it.. Because that's probably going to end up happening.

thank you hun. am sorry you are going through this too, my heart gos out to ya hun x x x. well they normally give you three options hun i think, they told me i can stil happen natually just come away from you but can take up to 3 weeks, i didnt wont that personaly , then there was surgery, i dint fancy that iver, then there like medication ya take , ya take a tablet then go back in two days for pessery inserted up there to get things going then they can use a pump suction thing god knows sounds awful to help, but normally tablets just work, i went for that option, i was booked in for today fri 11th , but it happended natually in night, so i just had to go for check up to see all come away, i just got do a preg test on 30th to make sure 100%  n ring em to tell em. am sorry hun none options are nice,i understand exactly how ya feel, i will try again love another baby, but couldnt keep going through this tho its heart breaking x x x.
