Is it too late?

If my ex-boyfriend came in me on the first day of my ovulation cycle, would I for sure be pregnant or is there a slim chance I am not?  I had my last period April 19th and according to my ovulation chart, my first day of ovulating would have been May 3rd.  I am not on any birth control, but I am 34.

People try everyday to get pregnant on, around and after their ovulation days and still fail to get pregnant.  Do you want to get pregnant by your "ex" boyfriend? If you have an ovulation chart and know when you ovulated you have a great chance of getting pregnant if that's the goal you're shooting for.

Yes, we would like to have a baby.  We each have a child from previous marriages.  We love eachother but are not thrilled with the marriage idea.  According to my chart, I was supposed to ovulate the day we had intercourse.  I am very fertile and when I got pregnant with my son it only took one month.

Usually I think your egg likes the sperm to be waiting for it :) but I think your chances are good. Did you use OPK's or anything?

Not at all, Ovulation Predictor Kits?  I used them every month. Even if some on-line chart say's when you ovulate, nothing predicts it better than this and of course taking your temperature every day.  It will give you a + and you should ovulate 24-36 ours later. or 24-48 I forget.

Another point is, at 34 a person is not as fertile as they are when younger.  Even if you had unprotected sex on exactly the right day, when you ask "am I pregnant or is there a slim chance I am not,"  at 34 the chance you are not is unfortunately not so slim on just one try.  I hope you get what you want.

Like Annie said.....  I am 33, when I was 31 I tried like MAD to get pregnant with my second child-  I used the OPK's every month, and it took me 9 months of having sex exactly when I should have to get pregnant....

good luck-  I think they say every month 30% of fertile couples who are trying to get pregnant  get pregnant...  is that right, anyone...  I think that is the static??

Hey! I don't know all there is to know about this stuff but having three kids and having to learn about it all for three years I do know a bit. My advice is to take a pregnancy test in a few weeks. THere are some that can detect a pregnancy before your missed period. You can also get a blood test taken. I have learned that the 14th day of your menstrual cycle is your most furtile day and checking the calendar it looks like you did this on that 14th day. It is most likely you are pregnant. Of course there have been people who have been in the same situation who didn't get pregnant. If I had to give a percentage I would say 80% chance of pregnancy. Just be careful what you do til you find out for sure so you don't end up back on here explaining another problem asking if it could be a miscarriage.

Even if you are highly fertile and have sex at the exact right time, each month you only have, at best, a 20% chance of pregnancy (more or less).   Sometimes it works right away, sometimes not.

If he's an ex boyfriend, why is he so eager to have a baby with you?  Something about him must have caused him to be an "ex", and not a current boyfriend.
