Is this my period after miscarriage?????

I'm so confused.  I think I am getting my period but is it too soon after the D&C (it's only been 24 days and I didn't stop bleeding until the MArch 31st so it is has only been 19 days since then.  Is this my period or is this just more bleeding from the miscarriage and D&C? I've called my midwife for answers but she's not in until tomorrow.  Any advice????

It depends. Have you had your Hcg levels taken after your D&C?  You could take a hpt and if it still turns up positive it means the bleeding is still from the misscarriage. However, usally after a d&c your Hcg levels go down a lot faster than if you had had a natural misscarriage. I would say if you had a Hcg test after your d&c and your levels were 3 or below than most likely your period.  There is no set time with how soon you will ovulate after your Hcg levels return to pre-pregnancy.  So a lot of factors..but most likely this is your period.

THanks. I had my levels tested 4 days after my D&C and they were 600. I haven't had them checked since.  I am going to go and get a HPT to see if it is positive.  Also, I think I'm going to tryto get my doc to test my levels again.  THis is so confusing. Thanks for the advice!
