Itching all over

Do any of you experience itching during pregnancy.   I tend to itch alot especially on my breast and arms.   Is this normal?    I don't remember itching when I was pregnant with my other two kids and I keep forgetting to mention it to my doctor.  

Also, I just recently started experiencing some pain in one of my breast, quick sudden pain.   Not sure if this is pregnant related or just me.  Any thoughts.

how far along are you?  i got PUPPS in the last month or so of my pregnancy. i had little red bumps all over my body and i itched everywhere. so bad my stretchmarks were becoming bloody.

I am itching terribly on my belly and arms.  I keep rubbing lotion but it's not helping!  I am almost 18 weeks with twins so I guess my belly stretching is causing it.

You really should mention it to your Dr. It may be nothing serious, but itching a lot while pg could be a sign of HELLP syndrome. It never hurts to ask.

There are a few skin conditions that can happen with pregnancy, and dry skin is a big issue sometimes.  Try using some mild lotions on the area's that are itching and as long as you have no rash that should help.  Like the Aveno or however it is spelled.  Also the coco butter tends to help keep things a little more in check.

The pain in the breast might just be the changing of the breasts during pregnancy.  But as always talk to your doctor.

I am 21 weeks pregnant.    Thanks for all of your input.  It helps alot.   I will try some mild lotions and see if that helps.

You should ask your Dr. to do a liver function test.  Itching all over could be a sign of Cholestasis, which means you have excess bile in your blood.  It is very serious and can cause fetal death.  I was just tested last week, and thankfully, it was negative.
