Itchy All Over... Already?!

Itchy All Over... Already?!

I'm just about 8 weeks pregnant with my second child, and am so itchy I can hardly stand it!! With my first pregnany I experienced the itchy breasts and belly, but it wasn't until much further into my pregnancy and never this bad. With this one, not only is it my breasts already, but it's literally all over! It doesn't bother me that much during the day, but at night and once in awhile in the mornings, I feel like I'm going to scratch all my skin off!! Have tried lotion, cocoa butter and moisturizing soaps and nothing helps. Last night after I woke myself up itching I actually sat and contemplated coating my whole body in Calamine (sp?) lotion, which I finally decided would probably be a little extreme and probably pretty difficult to do! (Lol if I don't find a way to laugh about it, it's going to drive me crazy!!) Is it safe to use the calamine lotion, or any of the benadryl or hydrocortizone creams? If not does anyone have any suggestions to help relieve the itchy scratchys or know what might be causing it to be so bad already??

My sister and mother in law were both like this, cool baths helped and it did go away after the first trimester
