Is it alright to eat sour cream while you are pregnant?

i havent been told not to eat sour cream, the only thing remotely like that i was told not to eat was mayonnaise freshly made in restaurants etc as the egg in it is raw.

Yeah I herd that too about mayonaise, I also just spoke to my midwife and she said that sour cream was fine to eat. :)
