LH Surge Question? Am I too late?

Hi everyone, I have LH strips that I bought online.  Well since my m/c I really want to get PG again. AF arrived Dec. 14 and so I started using my opks on Dec. 22.  From the 24th to the 27th I had faint +s and DH and I were BDing almost everyday from the 22nd.  Yesterday I got a dark + (LH surge???) but Dh had a migraine and so we didn't BD (but BDed the 27th). This morning the line was dark again on the OPK and I'm hoping we can BD this afternoon or tonight; but after my lengthy explanation, did I miss my chance? Is the LH surge before you actually O or when you O?   Thanks for the advice.

The LH surge is before you 'O.' The ones that I use say that once you see the LH surge, you will ovulate within 24-36 hours.

Thanks. Do you know how long a surge can last? Today it's still bright +++ so I'm hoping we can still make it.

I think you can still make it. If you had a surge yesterday and then again this morning, then you're probably about to ovulate! (Maybe you're o'ing right now as we type...) The egg can live up to 24 hours, I think. So it still looks good for you! Good luck.
