Lamaze classes

For those of you who have taken lamaze, would you recommend going for 5 weeks every Monday night for 2 hours ending 2 weeks before your due date, or taking the Saturday 8 hour class given 3 weeks before your due date? We didn't know we were supposed to sign up already and now we are late. Opinions please.

Well it would depend on your schedules I would just do it on the Saturday and have it all done with, I took prenatal (Canada) Just for the first baby,  -  most of the stuff you know from what people have told you, stuff  you have read in books they tell you to "Have a plan" but ask many who have had babies there is no plan they come when they want, how they want,
Just curious does it cost to take lamaze class? It didnt when I went for the first one but I guess now it does in Canada 100.00 bucks (so my brother said)

My DH and I took the Monday night for 2 hours that lasted 5 weeks.  It cost us $55 (US.  To be honest, we took that class because we cant sit in a room and pay attention for much longer than that.  It is sad, but we both have very short attention spans.  8 hours would have been like Chinese water torture for us!  It was very informative though.

I would rather do the 8 hour class because committing to every Monday night from 6:30-8:30 to me is a lot. Especially when I'm supposed to check my blood sugard two hours after I eat. But I think 8 hours would be too much for dh. My main concern is to be done two weeks before my due date. I think that's cutting it close.

Cinnamon, it costs $100 for either class.
