Large gestational sac- smaller embryo sac

Large gestational sac- smaller embryo sac

Hi Everyone. I had a scan earlier this week after some light spotting which has since stopped.
I am pretty spot on with my ovulation dates(7 weeks) due to using OPK's and timed intercourse though I realise that I could have actually conceived a day or so later. My embryo measured about 5-6 days less than I expected but from what I've read scans can be +/- 5 days, but my question is that my gestational sac measured a week bigger than expected-which makes the difference of nearly 2 weeks between the gestational sac size and embryo size. I know having a gest sac that it too small can be a problem inhibiting growth etc, but what about one that is too big?? Any thoughts would be appreciated as I have to wait a very long 10 days before I can have another scan.I've had 2 pg's that have both ended in miscarriage probably due to the clotting disorder MTHFR for which I'm being treated and I'd hate to thnk that there is now something else that could be causing a problem.
Thanks

I am going through this same thing and it is driving me nearly crazy. They are trying to force a d & c on me but I told them that if i miscarry then i just do.  my sac is 7 weeks my baby is around 4.5 5 weeks.  they say the baby hasn't progressed and no heart beat.  I have been doing research on here and have more hope.  One lady said the same thing happened to her and her little girl is now 4 years old.  If she would have listened to the doctor she would have regreted it all her life.  her baby was premature.  They never heard the heart beat until her 14th week.  I don't know if this helps you but it sure gives me alot of hope.

I am 7 weeks pregnant and had a vaginal ultrasound today because of some light spotting. The Dr said the gest sac was too big and the baby was too small, but they did hear a heart beat. When I came home I had some more bleeding which is NOT bright red like your typical miscarriage. The Dr said that I will most likely miscarry, but I just dont understand. Does anyone have any information on this?

I am 6 weeks and just found out that the gestational sac  was too big and my embryo too small we were able to hear the heart beat, we saw something behind the embryo that looks like another yolk sac but we weren’t able to heart the other heart beat, Doctor is not sure if it is another embryo or something else. Gestational sac has lobulated borders he said it is a characteristic of an embryo being reabsorbing.

Can anyone please tell me if this is true.....

Ok so I went to my u/s today for my 8 week appointment. The dr said that the baby is measuring at 6 weeks 3 days and the gestational sac is measuring at 7 weeks 3 days. They can't figure out if it's an abnormal pregnancy or if the dates are off. I had a miscarriage on 10/26 but never got my period in between and all of the pg test I take are still positive, I have morning sickness and sore bbs. I took an OPK and it said i was supposed to ov on 11/8 or 11/9. I have to go back on the 30th to find out if the baby is growing...UGH...has this happened to anyone else? Is this another m/c or is this normal?
