I have spent a considerable time searching, and learning from, the archives without finding all the information I was looking for. I am in my mid-twenties and miscarried 7 months ago and have been trying ever since to become pregnant for the firstFirst progesterone mc10 First progesterone mc5 First-progesterone vgs 100 First-progesterone vgs 200 First-progesterone vgs 25 First-progesterone vgs 400 First-progesterone vgs 50 First-testosterone First-testosterone mc time. It took 6 weeks after the miscarriage for my period to begin again. I had a normalNormal saline flush cycle (I did not count the days, but I am almost positive it was roughly 28 days), but since that cycle my periods have been approximately 37 days long, give or take a day. I used ovulation predictor tests (in the hundreds it seems) only to discover by monitoring my cervical mucus and taking a spare LHLh blood test Lh urine test (home test) surge test that I ovulated last month on day 25. However, this month, as in months past, I wasn't able to detect ovulation at day 14 or 25. We have only been trying since May of last year, but I am not sure if 37 day periods (when they once were 28) for the last 5 months is normalNormal saline flush or creating a complication that could be easily rectified.
Thank you for any input you can offer. This has been a wonderful resourceResource optisource, made even more impressive by the volunteer aspect of it.

A lot of women's cycles change after a loss. However, the important thing for you is not to worry about how long your cycles are (as long as they're fairly "normal" length), but rather when/if you're ovulating. Do you chart your basal temperatures? It's a great way to keep track of your body, along with the CM tracking and OPKs you said you were doing.
Even in women who have textbook 28-day periods, their ovulation day can vary. So, I'd suggest you track your body signs, including temps, for at least a couple of months and see if you can find a pattern. Hope this helped!
Kim; Those test strips are great.. and a wonderful waste of money it seems after months of using them, especially the months when it just never surges.. My husband and i tried to get pregnant for 1 1/2 years before we finally did.. prior to that we did have a miscarriage (2yrs ago). We did find that we actually were ovulating on the 9th day and were just missing it every month because our planning was off by a day or so. Buy the test strips online to save some money and next month if possible test every day from the day after you stop bleeding.. you may be surprised how your body can trick you.. also, have a "female" calendar and it is really good to keep track of your periods.. when they started, what time (about), how your flow was daily, any clots and how many days it lasted for. It is more work but if you do need any infertility work up/information from your doctor.. you will get a lot sooner help if you don't have to wait out 3 cycles to find out this information! Good luck! Best wishes, Amy
Hello Amy, I have exactely the same pb as Jeaton, same age... !! I was wondering what were those stips that you were talking about and where can I get them, You said online, what's the name of the website?

Hi.. the ovulation test strips are found at:
http://www.early-pregnancy-tests.com/pacof3ovtess.html
(this web site i found to be the cheapest)
We bought about 50 of these and took them until we saw a dark line.. sadly we all don't ovulate on the 14th day of our cycle..so this is a very nice tool. Good luck.
