Level II Ultrasound results

Level II Ultrasound results

Well I had my first level II ultrasound on Wednesday and the results were great.  Both babies are doing great.  Theirs hearts, liver, and kidneys all look normal.  They have all their limbs, fingers and toes.  Both of them were sucking their thumbs.  They each weighed 12oz., which I am told is normal for 19 weeks 3 days gestation.  And we were told that were having a boy and a girl.  So we will have a Gabriella Marie and a Colton David.  Also, they measured my cervix and it looks great.  Even when they pushed down on my lower abdomin (abdomen) to see if the size changed it didn't.  So as of right now I have a cervix of steal which is great for carrying these two babies.

Well I hope everyone is having a good day and I will keep everyone updated on my progress.

I am a twin and have a funny little tidbit.  I was born in 1975 to a teenaged mom.  Being young and in a small town, Mom didn't have all of the medical advancements at that time, so when I was born, the doctors told her that I was way too small and she was way to big to only be having one.  My sister was born 7 minutes later.  What a surprise, huh?!

you know the old wives tale about dangling things over your hand or belly and it's supposed to tell you the sex of your child?.....well a friend of mine did this one were you hang a needle over your hand and it is supposed to tell you how many children you'll have and what sex they will be,
well i was telling another friend of mine about it and mentioned that it was broken because it said that my 3rd child was going to be both girl and boy.
well her children were born before ultrasound.....and they did one of those old wives tales to her and she said the same thing, that it was broke because it did the same thing to her......low and behold she gave birth to boy/girl twins...so needless to say she was laughing at me, saying that we were going to have twins.

i figure if  they are boy/girl at least i won't worry about mixing them up.  ;o)
