Levels still in my system 7 weeks after mc

Levels still in my system 7 weeks after mc

I am at my lowest this week, after finding out that 3 of my friends are expecting.  this past Thursday my levels were 24, only going down 7 in a week.  Questions are: 1) Is any body where i am now or has been?? If so, how long did it take for levels to leave system?? 2) How soon after levels became zero did your AF come??  3)  How soon after did you concieve (conceive) again??

My dr has asked me to wait to TTC till AF comes and levels are zero.  Please help... I need some support. Thank you

My friend had a miscarriage and kept going back to check her levels. They stopped going down so doc tested her again and did a sonogram and she's pregnant again so you can concieve (conceive) pretty quickly after a m/c. I m/c on July 1st and am now 10wks prego, I know I wasn't expecting it that quickly and am very excited. Good luck to you, I hope everything gets straightened out soon!

SO i take it she got pregnant with the levels still in her system?? I didn't think that could happen.

I don't know for sure. Maybe her levels did go all the way down sometime between being tested? She had a miscarriage, was 4 months, had a d&c, got pregnant immediatly after and miscarried again. Now she's pregnant again. It's amazing because it's been over such a short time period.

Oh, and I've heard a lot of women say you have to have a period before you can get pregnant again but she didn't. The sonogram proves it, they heard the hb and everything!

It took me 8 weeks to get my levels down to four.  When I had them measured (June) two months before they were only at 156...so it took my body two months to get rid of such a tiny amount.  I finally conceived again in November, but I have a tilted uterus so that may have caused the delay as well.  My dr gave me the greenlight to BD as soon as I wanted.

Anyway, hope this helps.

I so feel your pain.
I was also wondering the same thing about if it is possible to ovulate if your levels are low but not at zero.
Mine were were 66 as of last Monday. I go back this Monday and Pray they are at zero but they probably are not yet :(

I have been using Ovulation Predictor Kits because so many people on this board have said they ovulated 14 days after m/c which is exactly where I am now but I have not detected the LH Surge yet. Prob cuz of the hormones still there.

I'm really sorry it's taking so long for your levels to drop, but like you'd heard in your previous posts on this same subject, it can take an annoyingly long time for your levels to drop w/out there being anything wrong or abnormal about your situation. I'm now 11+ weeks post-D&C, and my levels were still 10 as of Nov. 30. Between Nov. 16 and Nov. 30, they only dropped *3* points, from 13 to 10. Here's my chart:

91,000 as of 9/20 (pre-D&C)
2,100 as of 9/28
89 as of 10/12
44 as of 10/19
24 as of 10/26
17 as of 11/9
13 as of 11/16
10 as of 11/30

Despite my numbers not being zero, I've had two normal seven-day cycles since my D&C, although I assume I haven't ovulated yet. Still, you *can* ovulate before your levels return to zero (otherwise, why would your doctor advise you not to conceive before they hit zero; by definition, shouldn't that be impossible?). It's less likely to ovulate and conceive w/ residual hCG in your system, but it isn't impossible. Hang in there.

Wow I didn't realize you can get AF if your levels were above 50?

Hi! I'm sorry you're going through this, but I'm right there with you.  I m/c on 11/20 and had D&C on 12/8.  My levels are going down very slowly and the dr. said as of 12/8 they were still at 600. Post D&C they should drop drastically and if not, I'm going to have to do the chemo shot.  As for you, all I can say is that my dr. said that my AF should resume once my levels get somewhere between 50-80.  Hope that helps.

I guess this is all new to me so I don't really know what to believe.
