Light Pink Spotting

by Wisegirl, Aug 27, 2004 12:00AM
I'll be 5 weeks tomorrow and I called my dr because I'm spotting light pink.  They want me to come in at 9:45 am.  Should I be concerned ?

I would not be just yet.  It could be that this may have been around the time you were going to start your AF.   I am sure they just want to check you to make sure all seems ok still.  I had light pink spotting in my 5th month with my DD 6 years ago so I know how scary it is.   All my dr's said was put your feet up for the weekend.  I was upset they would not see me but all worked out and after a weekend of rest and being off my feet all was fine and she was born 4 months later at a healthy 8 lbs. 13 oz.    Wait to see what the dr says before you worry or you'll make yourself sick and that could be even worse for the baby.  Let us know as  soon as you find anything out.  If by chance there is something wrong you will find wonderful support on this board.  I know after my m/c almost a year ago this was a wonderful board.  Like I said though you are early on right now so maybe you'll be ok.  Good Luck and take care.

Light pink spotting is very common, and rarely of any significance.

Hope all goes well for you.

I'm really trying not to worry but I've been having some cramping, not severe or constant.  I'm staying positive !!

I can only tell you that I will say a prayer for you and your little one.  I have had 8 miscarriages and if this is any concillation, I never started by pink spotting, it was ALWAYS bright red or brown.

Good Luck and enjoy every second of your pregnancy.  Let us know what happens.

I have had three miscarriages one started out pink but the other two started out a brownish color and then turned bright red. But with this pregnancy at 4 weeks when I was due to start my period I had a little spotting but it was more the brown color again and the doctor told me that was spotting due to implantation. I am now 20weeks pregnant and everything looks good so far. This could be the same thing with you try not to worry...The only thing that doesn't sound good is your cramping...Are you still cramping???I know it's the worst feeling not knowing but I will pray for the best - please let us know...
