Light Spotting

by tln, Jun 08, 2003 12:00AM
I am wondering whether anyone has ever experienced spotting 5-6 days after ovulation. I ovulated on the 3rd and am now experiencing light spotting. I don't think it is implantation bleeding because the same thing happened last month and it turned out that I was not pregnant. Does anyone know what might cause this? I had a miscarriage in April and started trying to conceive again right away. Prior to my last miscarriage, I have always had regular cycles, with no spotting in between. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sometimes when you ovulate the egg can cause slight bleeding when it bursts through the ovary. It is too early for implantation bleeding, unless of course you are mistaken about when you ovulated. Hope this helps.

Hi there tln..

I had very light spotting on the exact day I was supposed to ovulate..

I hope Msklar is right and it's just a sign of ovulation.

I've also heard (for your case) that implantation can happen up to 4 days past ovulation (but usually 7-10).
