Light bleeding and Brown Discharge

I am 25 and healthy. I have been experiencing strange brown very dark brown discharge for the last couple of weeks. Some days it comes more than others sometimes it is more pink and sometimes it is a little bit (but not very much) blood. It is the 17th of November and I ended my last period on October 29th. I have not had sex since October 26th when I first got my period last month. However my period was short normally it lasts for a week and is very heavy, this past time it was not heavy and only lasted a couple of days. I don't have any abnormal cells in my cervix, I just got results back from a colposcopy that are good so I am pretty positive I don't have cancer or anything like that. I am wondering if there is a possibility that I am pregnant as my fiance and I were having unprotected sex? It seems highly unlikely that one would get a period and also be pregnant, in fact I think thats impossible. However I did undergo an extremely traumatic accident on the 29th of October and have a feeling my hormones might be out of balance due to the stress. I have also been extremely tired, exhausted even for the past couple of weeks and my breasts feel like I am about to get my period but I am not even close to that time yet. I am so confused. I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative but there was no control line showing up. I still don't think I'm pregnant and don't really want to waste any money on another test, but what could this brown discharge be from?? I have gotten brown discharge before my periods sometimes but never like this.
