I was 5 weeks, 2 days according to my last period, and then at night I started dripping blood. the bleeding only lasted for a minute or so, but I passed a clot. I went to the doctor the very next day, and he did a vaginal ultrasound. He said that I would probably miscarry, because I bled the night before, and he could only find the sac but no baby. He said there are two chances: that 1. I am either alot earlier in my pregnancy than I thought, or 2. I am miscarrying. but either way since he couldn't see a heartbeat, he said it didn't look good.

I don't understand though, how I could have a sac and no baby in it. I feel fine. and it's been exactly a week since I went to the doctor, and I still haven't had any signs of bleeding or spotting whatsoever. He even gave me pills to ease the pain and blood because he told me to expect it in the next few days. I didn't take the pills, because I didn't even start to bleed.

I am just wondering if this happened to anyone else, because my mom and the doctor are both convinced I miscarried since I passed a clot. they don't even care that the blood only lasted for one minute. they said if I passed any clots, It probably miscarried. I'm just so confused, because how can the sac still be there and the baby fall out if the sac is still intact??
