Losing Weight During Pregnancy?

I noticed in the past week that I have actually lost almost 2 pounds. I know that doesn't sound like a big deal, but I haven't thrown up at all, and I haven't exactly been laying off fattening foods. Is this normal, or should I be concerned?

I'm 15 weeks tomorrow...
I eat farely well, but still have my fast food urges. Even though I try to make sure I'm getting all the proper nutrients for the baby, and drinking lots of water, I still find myself eating Debbie Snack Cakes (mmm...Starcrunch!), Doritos, and now that Halloween is near...the miniature candy bars that sit in the bowl by the front door! LOL

I also have a Coke or glass of sweet tea at least once a day. I stayed away from it the first trimester, but now I allow myself a little each day.

Maybe the weight fluctuation is due to bm's or not being as bloated from one day to the next.

I just thought it was strange, and thought maybe something was wrong with the baby. Next dr appt isn't until Nov 6th.

I also lost weight the first 3 months .

This is a personal question ....

Are you overweight at all ?
The reason I ask is because I am and I lost 6 pounds the first 3 mo of my pregnancy . I had no morning sickness whatsoever and my doc said everything was great !

I am 22 weeks and I was losing weight for the first 4 months, wasn't really sick, just didn't have much of a appetite. I still haven't gained any and I don't eat the healthiest either. I wasn't exactly the smallest person to begin with. Check with your OB at your next visit and keep taking your prenatals!

I have been eating pretty much the same thing as usual and I have lost 3 lbs. in the last 3 weeks.  My doc said it is pretty normal.  All those hormones can do weird things to you.

I am 20w2 days and I have only gained 5 pounds...however I know that I lost 2 pounds since I have been officially weighed at the doctors...they haven't said anything to me about it but then again I have a few extra pounds to give...

With my 1st DS I only gained 17 lbs throughout the whole pregnancy and they never said that was bad...

Just make sure you are eating right and drinking enough water and you should be okay!

Although I had gained a little extra weight before getting pg, I have never really been overweight. As a matter of fact, I have been taking an excercise class for over a year now, and had lost around 15 pounds and toned up. I re-gained about 6 pounds before getting pg, which put me around 140. I have gained about 6 or 7 pounds since being pg, but it just keeps fluctuating. It goes from 145 to 146 to 147, then back down to 146, etc...
I still get to my class, but only once or twice a week, and I only do certain routines, so I don't think excercising is helping to keep my weight down. I mainly do it to keep my heart healthy, as a stress reliever, and because it's fun! LOL The bigger I get, I know I will be excercising less, so I'm trying to get in as much as possible right now!

I will just talk to my doctor about it when I go. I keep having this horrible fear that the baby has died or something, because I read all these posts where someone's baby dies, and they don't realize it for 2 or 3 weeks. I'm sure it's just the worry wart in me. But this is my first baby, so I'm overly paranoid! LOL

I haven't had any morning sickness during my 1st trimester outside of a couple of days of nausea.  At my last appointment on Monday I had gained about 8-9 pounds in 4-5 weeks (from 7w 3d to 12w).  I was underweight before I got pregnant and my doctor did not seem too concerned.  For me during the 1st trimester if I would let me stomach get too empty then I would start to feel a little uneasy so I always kept crackers, dry cereal and fruit bars with me.  I too like to have a soft drink at least once a day.

Wow!  This has been helpful to me. :)  I'm 24 weeks and when I weighed in last week at my doctor's appointment, I learned that I didn't gain any weight in the last month and have gained only 8 pounds over the course of my pregnancy.  It really concerned me because I haven't been watching what I eat or anything.  It's good to know lots of other women have had low weight gain and still had really healthy babies.

How many weeks are you?

I'm 12 and I eat pretty good and treat myself too. I've only gone up and down the same 2 pounds since before I was pregnant. I find this odd since with my ds I gained 65lbs and by this time was up 6 lbs. I'm not eating any different. I still have my occasional burgers, fries, ice cream etc.  I keep hoping that I don't gain the same as last time but I'm still feeding this baby well.

If it's short-term, it shouldn't be a problem.  My sister-in-law lost 10 lbs throughout the first and second trimester before she gained another 23 back.  In total, she gained only 13 throughout, but delivered a healthy 6 1/2 lb baby 1 week early.
