Loud Noise hurt baby

I have a 6 month old and my husband just told me that we are going to the UNC basketball game this Friday. I am really concerned that the loud noise will hurt my sons ears.  Will it?

i don't think it would necessarily "hurt" his ears, but why on earth would you want to bring a 6 months old to a basketball game? how much fun is that going to be? it may scare him also, unless he is a really heavy sleeper and sleeps through it.

i dont know about a basketball game but we took our baby to a monstertruck show and she was 9months at the time it startled her at first then she fell asleep and was outcold for a good hour. so i think it just depends on the baby.  good luck and have fun

when my son was 5 months old we took him to a cheerleading competition.  He absolutely loved watching all of the people.  We periodically put his head against our chest and covered his exposed ear with our hand.  He didnt seem to mind the noise and he is perfectly fine now over a month later.
