Low HCG but Blood Pregnancy Test!-Ectopic?

Hello I'm currently 8 weeks and 4 days No symptoms

except for sore breast( but not very) only the nipples that hurts., I'm having pms and my lower back hurts. I also can't sleep good and wakes up early because of pain. not too painful but it's uncofortable

What happened before:
-I had pt and it's negative

when I was 6 weeks:
-I also had transrectal ultrasound/pelvic ultrasound during 6 weeks and the doctor can't see anything.

May 30
--I had spotting - a very light blood in my panties just two dots- I thought I was going to have my period again.But it didn't continue, although I'm having mentrual cramps.

-I had a blood pregnancy test the other day july 14, 2011


I'm 8 weeks pregnant and no symptoms.I had blood test with the range 0-5 and I got 5.030 and the doctor said it's positive. but very very low.

what's going on. Is my HCG low for 8 weeks? Or I'm having problem.. :( They can't tell coz they can't see anything trough ultrasound too.

they asked me to take pt and ultrasound after 2 weeks. but I want to get it now because I'm worried! help!

Are you saying your hCG was 5 or 5,000?

It says the range is 0-5 mine is 5.030 h and I'm 8 weeks.

So your hCG is 5. That's the bare minimum needed to be pregnant, and is extremely low. Are you sure you're 8 weeks along? If you were, your levels should be in the thousands. Coupled with the fact that nothing was seen in your ultrasounds leads me to believe you either are very, very early or had a miscarriage and they dropped.

I understand your worry. i would just go back to emergency and see another dr. They may give you your ultrasound earlier. A Hcg level that says your pregnant means there is hope. Try not to worry too much. Good Luck let us know. Cheers Melipops

the doctor says it might be ectopic but I don't really know because they just ask me to come back again after two weeks. but if its ectopic I'm worried.:(

Yes I know it should be that high. If its ectopic what should be my hcg level does anyone have idea?:(

Well they would be low, but I've never seen them this low before. Is your doctor doing more blood draws? You shouldn't be waiting 2 weeks if there's a chance it's Ectopic, you risk the tube rupturing.

thanks for being there to answer me.Yes I know.It is very very low. Today I'm going to have an  ultrasound to see if they could catch something.

I think that if this is this low it's an ectopic. I didnt want to wait another week to do the test because i'm scared that it ruptured or something more bad happens.

Good luck, I hope they can figure out what's going on. I would ask your doctor WHY he wants to wait so long. If it is Ectopic and the tube ruptures, it can kill the mother.
