hi there,
i have been through the same thing that you have. i went for an u/s when i was 6 weeks and it was slow then but when i went back a week later it was 155. i would say relax as much as you can and try not to stress. i know easier said than done but that is what you need to do. i have read past comments on here about this same thing and their ending were happy. i am not trying to get your hopes up just in case but i am trying to make you feel better. good luck
statistically 90% of pregnancies where the fetal heartrate is over 100 in early pregnancy (where you are now) are viable. the higher the heartbeat, the better the chance of course. but a 90% chance is pretty good. hang in there and TRY not to stress out. stressing won't help anything.
Try not to worry (I know, easier said than done). When I went in at 6 wks the h/r was 118, then two weeks later it was 176. I'm now 13 weeks and it has gone down to the 140-150s but it is normal for the h/r to start low, gain speed and decelerate after 9 weeks.
According to OBGYN.net, "The human embryonic heart rate (EHR) accelerates at 3.3 beats per minute per day during the first month of beating. Beginning at a rate near the mother’s, at approximately 80-85 B/M at the start of the 5th week, the heart rate accelerates to a mean of 175 B/M (+/-20 = 2SD) at 9.2 LMP weeks. It then abruptly begins to decelerate. This increase is approximately 10 beats every 3 days until the early 9th week."
So far, I've found it to be true:-) Hang in there! Also, try not to make too much out of your HCG #s. I had the same worries when mine didn't go exactly as they wanted but once you see the h/b, that's the best indicator of a healthy pregnancy!
wow this group is so great. I am so new to all this and was so worried. I know there was no h/b the first time around so hearing it made us realize we are farther along than last time. I'm just really ready to get past my first trimester so that I can "breath" easy as they say. My hubby keeps saying we will be cautiously optomistic until the baby is here lol. I say we have a baby and and h/b so WOOOHOOO I thank you all for the feedback and help. I will keep everyone informed keep us in your prayers and I will do the same.
this baby's was 101 at 6 wks 2 days
of course I got on hear and asked because like you I was freaked
It was up higher at the next weeks appt - but the u/s tech gave me undue stress by telling me 101 is low we like to see it over 120
they cause the stress! GOOD LUCK
I've been an emotional worried mother to be from the begenning I found out when I was 2 weeks but had no idea because of irregular periods. first they could see nothing but hcgs were normalso they said to be readyfor tubal or m/c. 4 weeks and 8 dr. visits later they found a heart beat on aug 22 then I get a call today to tell me that babys heart beat was only 77 Now I'm worried all over again
OMG I will pray for you. We lost our first one and tried for over a year to get preg again and so we are taking this one each day as it comes. I lost the first one at 8 w they thought. I had horrible cramping and light spotting but nothing else and then lost all preg signs. Then I went at 12 w and there was no heartbeat. This one they found the heartbeat and I have been very achy and sick (vomitting) but it didnt start until like 7w4days so we will see. I will send baby dust and pray for you.
I whish you best of luck.
