Hey everyone... My period was due today, but I got a BGP on Sunday eveningEvening primrose Evening primrose oil! My DH and I were very excited, since we have been TTC since my last MC in September. I have had 2 in the past year, so I am a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys nervous but trying my hardest not to be. Anyway, they did blood work on Monday and the results are in... my HCG is at 100 and my progestrone is low, so they are putting me on progetstrone "suppositories" (sp?). I am supposed to use this stuff twiceTwice-a-day a day. My question is, could the progestrone help my body produce more HCG? I know HCG levels vary so much, but I was so excited to have a positive early I thought my levels would be high :( It is hard not to fearFears and phobias yet another MC. Please let me know your thoughts... thanks!
I too had low progestreon, I had 5 miscarriages before they figured out it was low and causing me problems, I took it for 12 weeks and I hated it BUT it worked and i'm 36 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby boy, God bless and good luck
Thanks for your encouragement- I needed to hear a success story! Do you think that my levels are too low to have hope? My HCG was 100 yesterday, and they are doing the test again tomorrow. I do not know what my progestrone number was, but low enough to put me on the suppositories 2 x a day. I've read they don't help at all and that they save pregnancies- which do you think it is?
I say it's worth a try, I have read they don't work BUT they worked for me... At 1 week past getting a possitive test I was checked and my level was 14.5 and my doc says they like it to be atleast 20... As for it rasing your HCG levels I'm not sure... All I can say is that it worked for me, I believe it was the progesterone that helped my body sustain the pregnancy, Well that and the grace of God.. Good luck and God bless
