Low Rising HCG Levels

Hello Everyone,

I hope i can get some ease and some hopeful news from everyone.  I had and IUI done on 5/16, i had my first hcg done 5/30 which came back positive and the level was at 36.  Two days laters my hcg levels was 165 so they had more than doubled.  On Wednesday the 4th of June i started spotting a brownish redish blood.  I contacted the doctor and they advised it could be normal and it may be old blood and not to worry.  I went in on 6/6 and had an u/s done and blood work done and my hcg levels went up but very slightly to 186.  The nurse advised that it could be an unhealthy preganacy and that I could miscarry.  I am still very hopeful that things will change, has this happened to anyone and if so were you successful of having a healthy baby as the result?  I go back to the doctor on Tuesday and will keep everyone posted.

im so sorry that your going through this. i had something similar i was supposed to be 5 weeks and my hcg levels were at 409 then three days later they were only 465 and a week later they went down to 263 i miscarried about a week later. i stayed optimistic the entire time and you should too. i have a friend whose levels hardley increased and she now has a two year old. so stay hopeful and good luck.
