Lower Abdomen Pain

Lower Abdomen Pain

I am 29 weeks 2 days pregnant and this week I have started having a pain in lower abdomen near pelvic.   Should I be concerned?   It only last about 10 seconds and feels like a pinch.

You might be experiencing contractions, are the pains spaced out a certain amount of time?  Please give a call to your doctor, only they will know for sure.  My Braxton Hicks felt like tightenings, but didn't involve any pain, and the real contractions started as period like cramps, kind of like what you are experiencing.  There are so many aches and pains during pregnancy and sometimes you just don't know if they are a cause of concern or not.  Try timing them and if they are coming at similar intervals, they are probably contractions.  But once again, to make sure you are not starting premature labour, I suggest you call your dr's 24 hour line and get them paged.

Thanks for your comments.  The pain has stopped and I do have a UTI.  I am taking an antibiotic for it.   Thanks for the advice.
