Lumps in my breast only present during pregnancy?

Hi all.  I went to the nurse at my ob-gyn office yesterday.  And as she was going of my medical history, she asked if I ever had a lump in my breast.  I told her that since I've been pregnant, I've noticed 3 lumps in my breast. One on either side of my breast. Then one underneath my right breast.  I'm fairly certain that they weren't there before my pregnancy.  Also, I had a miscarriage 2 years ago and during that pregnancy, I also noticed the lumps.  When I told her this, she looked at me like I was nuts.  I'm very concerned.  There is no history of breast cancer of anything like that in my family.  I'm only 9 weeks along.  I talked to my mother and she said it could be milk ducts?  She also said she had lumps during her pregnancy with my brother.  I'm concerned.  Anyone out there ever go through this?

I agree with your mother.  They are probably just milk ducts since it just happens with pregnancy.  The only other thing I could think of is Fibroids which will grow and shrink depending upon hormones or what you eat, especially caffiene.  Stay away from caffiene, take your vitamins (Esp.E) and see if that helps.  The doctor should take a closer look to help rule out anything more serious.  Good Luck!

Hi - Did your OB feel the lumps?  If not, I'd go get them checked out by somebody else.  Better to be safe than sorry.  Also, mammograms are actually safe during pregnancy.  Good luck.
