i have had several m/c and only one d/c. the natural mc was much different and more like a really bad period with cramps and moderate bleeding. the bleeding after the d and c was so much worse. i had severe cramping and bled heavier. i think it was due to the procedure and the invasiveness of it....but that was just my experience.

i am so sorry for your loss....losing a child at anytime is just devistating. you are in my thoughts....and i hope you feel better soon and remember even though your baby is not hear you have a special angel looking down from heaven for you. i have 7 looking down on me....and i am glad to have been a mother to them at all and any capacity.

take care and all the hugs in the world to u at this time.....kimmie

I had a D&C a week ago Thursday because of a miscarriage.  The bleeding and cramping decreased significantly after the procedure.  After 1 week the bleeding and cramping completely stopped, and the pregnancy symptoms went away.  If you continue to bleed heavily, I would definitely call the doc.

I believe some bleeding is normal.  I had a D&C in Sept of 03.  A week later I was cramping bad and bleeding kind of heavily and actually passed some weird tissue that I took into the dr and she said it was placenta.  Well after I passed that I felt better and the bleeding let up but a few days later I was cramping again bad and called the ER and they told me I should not be bleeding and cramping like this 2 weeks later and told me to take some Advil and lie down.  I did this and fell asleep only to wake up 3 hours later in a pool of blood.  I had to have a second D&C because placental tissue was still left in.  The point to my story is if it is HEAVY bleeding and you are cramping go back to the dr ASAP and have them do an u/s to make sure all is gone.  Good Luck.  I am so sorry you had to go through this.  Take Care

I found out my pregnancey was not viable on a Monday at 11 weeks. Tues. I went in for a d&c. The procedure itself was painful. By Weds.I wore only a pantyliner for light spotting and had no cramps. I did (against MD orders-eek) have sex that Fri.(gently, I swear!) and it started up the bleeding again. Overall though, I believe the whole experience was a million times better than trying to do all this 'naturally' w/all the cramping. I wonder how women don't look at every blood clot or tissue in the pad or toilet and wonder if that's a part of the baby- I couldn't do it!

Hello,
My name is Holly. I am 20 years old. I am planning on going off the pill (i have been on it for 3 years now) in November. I hope to get pregnant right away so I can give the news to my in-laws and my parents as an xmas gift. Do people usually have problems conceiving the first few months they go off the pill? How does it work? I also want to lose weight before I have a baby. As it is I am not comfortable in my skin. If anyone has suggestions or would like to chat, please email me at butterfly_baybee2005***@**** I will respond to everyone!
Also, will you only conceive on certain days of the month? I can use as much information as I can
