Medical Techniques to Open Blocked Fallopian Tubes

Please help. One of my girlfriend's fallopian tubes is blocked.  Doctors said the other side is fine and her Uterus is healthy.  My questions are:
1) Does she still have good chance to be fertil and pregnant? Given that her ovaries are good.
2) What medical procedures can be used to clear her blocked fallopian tube?

I love her and wish to do everything to help so we can get married.  She made it clear to me that if we cannot have a child, she will not marry me.  I'm desperate for answers.

Travis, the better question is why won't she marry you simply if she can't have a biological child?

She should be able to conceive if one tube is open.  Her doctor would be the one to discuss what to do about the blocked tube, if anything.

Travis, I am not a doctor by any means but one of my friends had that same problem and they had to go in and remove it.  But she still had one side open and both her ovaries as well. She has 2 children now.  I have another friend who only has one ovary and has conceived 3 children naturally.  So don't give up hope.
Now my concern is.... what is the real reason she won't marry you?  She should be happy that a man wants to marry her for better or worse.  There is always invitro that can be done and adoption. To me sounds as if she is being somewhat selfish and not telling you the real reason.

If she has 1 tube and a good ovary, she still has a good chance.

So does this mean that she will wait to get pregnant first then get married?  Or is she looking for success rate percentages before considering marriage?

I forgot to mention travis that they can also go in and scrape the scar tissue off the tube and see if that clears up the problem.  Usually they will try this first if its not too bad.  After they do this she will be very fertile during this time if everything is cleared out.

did she have a hysterosalpingogram, where they take a xray basically of her uterus and tubes? when they do this they can tell if she is a canidate for recanalization where they run a catheter through her tubes to try and clear out the tubes. this is usually the first step that they take to open up tubes but this does not mean that she wouldnt be able to have a child anyways since one was clear. it does reduce her chances a little depending on what side the egg is released. she also has to be watchful for a tubal pregnancy with blocked tubes. my tubes are blocked and i ended up with a tubal pregnancy and lost that tube because of this. tell her to get on a form of birth control until she gets tested and see if she is canidate for the recanalization. she shouldnt give up. worse case she can go through ivf to bypass the tubes. best case she gets recanalization and removes the blockage and then has a healthy baby. good luck, hope this helps

Hi Everyone.  Thank you for writing to answer my concerns.  I am a US Citizen and my girlfriend is a Chinese citizen.  I'm trying to make things work by taking her to the doctor.  She had X-Rays done and I've seen the pictures.  Definitely one side is blocked and the other open.  I'm thinking of taking the X-Ray back to the US to consult a doctor as I find Chinese doctors to be very hard to talk to.  She's considering not to marry me if she cannot have kids because she knows I want children.
