Methotrexate shot for ectopic. Afterwards??

Okay so i got the shot on the jan 5 & two days before the shot i was already starting to bleed. Then after getting the shot i bled for a week it had cramps mostly on my right side because the tubule pregnancy was on the right. I had stopped bleeding for about 5 days then began to bled again. for another week. It keeps on doing this. & its a month now. i just stopped bleeding  days ago. First it starts out dark brown spotting then it turns dark red. Its starts out very light then becomes heavy. But whenever this happens i get really bad bad cramps! Its the worse pain ever. It feels like contractions. It hurts so much i would curl up into a ball and cry. Then it get to my back & its just pain after pain. I asked my doctor but he said this is usual. when i got the shot my hcg level was around 5000 I've only got hcg test done once & signs did show that dropped. I went in the other day. & my pee test still came out positive i just got blood work done but i havent got the results yet. How long does it take for your hcg to lower to 0 after the shot???

Women with HCG levels above 5000mIU/mL may require multiple methotrexate injections or may need surgical interventions for ectopic pregnancy. Since your levels were at 5000, you too may need. Usually the HCG levels are quite low by 4 weeks and drop to undetectable or insignificant levels by about 4-6 weeks. However, since it is already more than 4 weeks, if your tests show relatively high levels, then you may need another methotrexate shot or surgical intervention.
