Methrotexate for Cervical Pregnancy

Has anyone had an ectopic cervical pregnancy that had to be terminated by methrotexate?

I had to take methotrexate for retained tissue after a miscarriage, and was not impressed.  It did not work for me, I wound up needing a D&C.  Some ladies it does the trick for, and if so it is a neat an economical way to solve a medical emergency.  Just did not work in my case.

Sorry to hear it did not work well for you.  I cannot tell you very much as my ordeal is not over.  I was 11 weeks with a very low cervical pregnancy when they did almost an emergency intervention to terminate the pregnancy by injecting methrotexate.  After a day, the embryo still had a beating heart so they injected some (potassium or something like it) to stop the heartbeat.  Since they are afraid of a hemorragie they are been very conservative in doing anything else, but what is supposed to happen is that my body will eliminate everything slowly and without much problems.  My hcg levels have gone from like 7000 the week before last to 800 last week, so I suppose something is been eliminated.  Meanwhile, its been extremely painful at times but mostly frustrating.  I just wanted to know if anyone out there has gone through the same situation as me.
