Miscarriage and Misoprostal ...need help, not sure if I need another does...how do you know if one does was enoug?

So I took my 1st dose of Misoprostal yesturday ...8 pills vaginally. My doctor told me to take the
Tylenol 3's @ the same time... but of coarse I didn't becuase for my 1st miscarrige the cramping was not that bad ...but this time it was auful...I cried for hours...as soon as the pain started i took the pain meds...but it took a while to kick in.


Now I did pas a few clots when I went to the bathroom last night...but how do i know if I need another does or not? She gave me another repeat if i needed it ...but how do I know if I need it ...should I just take it anyways ...just to make sure? Today I am bleeding lightly...not much and when I go pee this is when more seems to come out ...i go to get up and it's all stringing from my cervix (not sure if that makes sence)

Please help!

I'm so sorry for your loss.  I had to do the same thing at 11 weeks along about a year & a half ago.  I took the pills, I wasn't given any pain meds, wish I had thought to ask for some though.  My Dr. was oncall at the ER and told me to come in if I was scared, concerned, in alot of pain, or just wanted he there.  I opted for home, I took them about 10 pm, went to bed to lie down adn by 2 am was up with intense cramping.  I passed large clots, about the size of the palm of my hand, and then the sac.  Sorry if this is tmi.  I figured it was all out and the cramping slowed down some after that.  It did come off and on really bad and then a few days later I passed one more piece of gray tissue, then I flet much better.  The cramping got more bearable after that and I bled for about 2 weeks.  My Dr. did call me at home after the weekend to see how I was feeling and to see how it went.  They told me since I saw the sac and bled so much, sounded like it was a complete m/c and to call if I had any more pains or problems.  I would call your nurse and tell her what happened and see what they think, I guess you may need to wait till Monday, but I think it did it's job.  The pills will help dialate and open your cervix up, and if you were passing clots etc., it sounds like it did work, and some gals don't bleed or pass as much, could be dependant on how far along you were.  Take it easy and call your Dr., feel better.

i was given misoprostal on wednesday the 11 june at about 4:30 i took it when about 7:30 the night i had serious cramping and bleeding ,i bleed for three days .Do you think that miscarry?

do you must pass clot blood to know that you miscarry?ohw do you need to bleed for to know that you miscarry?

I hate when people give the answer of "you should consult your doctor"..but unfortunately that is the best advice.

I had a miscarriage 11 weeks pregnant...my body did not expell the tissue and I to had to use Misoprostal. I used 4 pills vaginally, and by morning was having the contractions and bleeding. I was pregnant with twins and passed both sacs as well as tissue (clots). That was 3 weeks ago and I am still bleeding and have crams (not contractions, just severe cramps). I have been back to the doctor for an ultasound to see if the tissue was all gone from the uterus or not. she saw tissue left so that would explain why im still bleeding. I have to take a second dosage of the pills in one week if still bleeding...im scared to do that, but it is necessary.
