Miscarriage?

by courtneyh, Mar 15, 2008 10:49AM
I had a miscarriage in December. The beginning of February I discovered I was pregnant again. I began spotting last week which scared me as I was afraid of having another miscarriage. I had a blood test on Tuesday - my HCG level was 4,375 (my doc said this is very good) - on Wednesday I had an ultrasound which measured me at 6 weeks and we saw and heard the heartbeat. My doctor put me on progesterone - I'm still spotting. If I'm not having another miscarriage, when should I expect to stop the bleeding? I only bleed for less than an hour a day. I know this could be normal - but I'm clueless. I will be going back to the doctor on Monday - so no need to worry until then. I'm just looking for answers and/or comments from others in a similar situation.

I think that as long as you are not cramping or passing tissue everything is fine, when I miscarried I knew what was going on but this pregnancy I spotted when I wipped and that was it I knew I was pregnant again, no spotting in about 5 or 6 days now..Im on progesterone as well

Great news. I just went on the progesterone - no tissue just spotting when I wipe. I guess we'll find out.

Thanks for responding.
