Missed miscarriage

I need to take the medication to help me expel the missed AB. What is it like? I'm scared to death, as I've heard it can be as bad as labor pains. How long should I expect to bleed for? How long before the meds work?

I don't know how far along you were, but I think no matter what your going to feel a little bit of cramping. When I had my miscarriage last January they told me I lost the baby at 14wks and that I'll feel minor cramping and that it should come out on it's own. Well I did really now what to expect and I thought it was finished, but then the pains came. And it really did hurt. My husband got scared and took me in to the hospital. I started to hemrrage. I was very thankful to my husband for bringing me in because of what happend. I had to get surgery and go through a DnC. Not fun at all. But I think if you earlier than I was you shouldn't go through so much. It should come out easier. But if you do feel really bad cramping  I would go to the hospital or doctors to see what they can do. I hope my story did scare you, because I didn't want it to. I just wanted to explain about my experience and tell you what you should look out for. I hope all goes well for you and that you feel better soon.

Hey, is your middle name Louise too? No, you didn't scare me. I'm only 9 weeks, but they think the baby died at 5-6 weeks, so I'm sure it will be easier than your experience. That really is aweful. My doctor said having a D&C is always second choice because it's invasive, but obviously necessary in your case! Wish me luck. I got the meds but I'm waiting untill the weekend to take them. I have a X-mas party fri. night with my whole family here, and that doesn't sound like a merry scenario, if I can wait a few days! Good luck if you're trying to conceive again! D
