Multiple C-Sections

Hi all,
I am 29 years old and after 5 yrs of TTC I am finally expecting number 3. This is my DH first baby, and we couldn't be more pleased. After all the excitement is finally leveling out, I'm feeling a little nervous. We are seeing a RE, and he keeps talking about how far my uterus is out of place, and I have massive scar tissue. This has me a bit concearned. This will be my third c-section, I have 2 sons 14, and 9. I have had horrible problems with my cervix, since my first section, I've had multiple OBGYN just give up on finding it! I'm only 5ft tall, so it must be in my throat! LOL Anyways the RE explained that it is because my scar tissue has pulled my uterus back thus causing my cervix to be real high and far back, he said it was almost pulled out of my vagina??? I didn't even ask. I am going to talk to him about complications next visit on the 10th, but I was wondering if anybody had some light to shed, or am I just gonna be risky, I also have a history pf pre-term, both of my boys were 8 monthers! Thank you for your help!!

Hmm IDK if that is my problem b/c my uterine lining is great, nice and tri-layerd they say, I'm more concearned about delivery, and my uterus handeling contractions, and how difficult the surgery will actually be. Ive heard that the actual surgery is alot more complicated on the third.

Just a thought, maybe they can schedule your section early to avoid labor. With a third c-section and lots of scar tissue- your operation might just take longer than usual. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I have had 1 c-section after I had 3 uterine surgeries. I had a lot of scar tissue too. The section took about 30 minutes, the dr said my uterus looked great though. I just couldn't go into labor because I have a high chance of rupturing because of my surgery on the top of my uterus. I would just make sure to take it easy during your pregnancy and don't over do it. Have they referred you to a perinatologist? They are amazing! Mine was able to see how thick my uterine scar was, because they have great u/s technology. They can really see and tell you of there are any potential problems. Also, during your next c-section, did they mention they were going to try to clean out any of that scar tissue?? I would ask about that so in the furure if you want more children, at least you won't have as much. It would probably help with your cervix too.
Good luck and congrats!

I didn't think about that, I will ask them if they can clean it up a bit, it was a fight to get pregnant, and we would love to have one more, then I AM DONE! My DH wants 2 more though. He will be alright, I figured they would schedule me early they tried to last PG, but my little one had his own plans, I was dialated to 7 b4 I got to the hospital. I'v just heard stories about uterine rupture, and during the section it taking too long and the mom bleeding out, I should probly stop researching! Thank you for your response I will ask my RE the 10th about the perinatologist!

most drs try to discourage more than 3 c/s because risks increase, ask your dr. what he thinks.  i have had 2 c/s and cannot get pregnant.  i also had a uterine rupture, please do schedule early to avoid labor (i ruptured during labor in second pregnancy).  good luck!
