My 1st US was monday, we saw a heartbeat, but no fetal pole..

Judging by my LMP, I should have been around 7wk 2d, but the Dr. said he didn't think I was that far along yet, and I have another US on Sept.7.  My question is, if there is a heartbeat there has to be a fetal pole doesn't there?  Also- could a tilted Uterus cause visablilty problems with the US?  The heartbeat was at 107.  This is our 1st pregnancy and we have been trying for 3 yrs.  Any advice would be great,

I can't answer the first question but yes a tilted uterus makes it more difficult to see. I think that the sign of a heartbeat is excellent news, what did the u/s results say for due date?

They said since they couldn't measure a fetal pole that they couldn't give me a due date.  But if I am 5wks instead of 7 that would put me around April 20ish.

i went at 7 weeks and saw a heartbeat.  noone ever mentioned a fetal pole at all.  there is nothing on my pictures that i took home that looks like anything but a sack and a baby.  they measured the baby crown to rump to get the due date.
