My 7-month-old DD and table food

My DD is incredible with her chewing at 7 months.  I started giving her the Gerber stars a few weeks ago and she did great.  Now I have started giving her some tiny pieces of bread and vegetables.  The problem is that now she won't even open her mouth for baby food.  Every time we start eating she goes crazy and wants everything we have.  She does fine with it, but we dont' always have something she can eat.  She is so funny when she does get table food.  She starts saying "Mmmmm!"  as loud as she can.  It is so cute.  My question is did anyone else go with almost all table food by 7-8 months of age.  My DS ate mostly table food from 9-10 months on.

My daughter is the same way, but she only started refusing baby food on and off for the past month. Now if we are eating anything she says Mmmmmm! also. She has been eating some table food since about 8 months of age. The only baby food she will eat anymore is fruit. If she is chewing well she is probably ok. You could check with your pediatrician to be sure. Although different peditricians have different views on when to start table food. I just did what felt right. Good luck to you! :)

I didn't start DD on table foods until she was about 10-11 months.  It was a personal preference.  Like you said, there are some things they still can't eat at that age (fish, nuts, etc).  If she enjoys eating what you're eating, start out with safe veggies, fruits and meats.
