My Period is late...HELP!

My Period is late...HELP!

So I am 25, I have an almost 2 year old now. I usually get my period around the 25th of every month. So going with that I am 2 days late, I have been feeling very nauseous at random times during the day, all I want to do is sleep I have all the usual Pre-Period symptoms. I have very dull cramps. I have taken 2 pregnancy tests at home in the morning and both have come back negative. I pretty much forget what it was like when I was pregnant with my son....any advice would be great!

Hi!
Menstrual cycles can delay at times with no apparent cause. However, since you have periods like clockwork, even if your urine tests are negative, take blood test for HCG estimation. A blood HCG estimation test would be more reliable. If the test is negative then you are not pregnant. If it is borderline, repeat after 48 hours to see if the levels are rising. Rising levels indicate pregnancy. If this too is negative then other causes of delayed or missed periods will have to be looked at such as ectopics (can give negative urine/HCG tests), stress whether emotional or physical, hypothyroidism, polycystic disease of the ovary, pituitary tumors secreting prolactin, anemia and poor diet, hormonal imbalance, unexplained or sudden weight gain or weight loss. You will need to consult a gynecologist for this. Take care!
