My baby is very fair skin

My son was born 5 days ago and his dad is 1/2 black but fairly light skinned. I'm very white... Ghostly lol and naturally very blonde. My son has darker hair and his eyes are getting brown to. But his skin is still pale. Should he really have color? I mean he is only 1/4 black.

It will take a year or two for his final skin color to be fully determined, I've heard.

A baby's complexion can and usually does change, especially in the first several months.  But also as they are exposed to the sun more.  It also depends on who had the stronger genes in that area.

I have delt with something like this myself. I am black and white with olive color skin and medium to dark brown hair. My daughters father is mexican with black hair brown eyes and skin about the same as mine. When she was born 4 1/2 yrs ago she had dark brown almost black hair and green eyes. Now she has porcalin white skin brown eyes and really light brown hair. She took after my mothers side. So it matters about the genes. And it take 2 yrs for pigmentation to set in. It depends on things like melinen in the skin.

That makes me feel so much better thank you. If he didn't look just like his daddy you'd never think he was his lol. I know my son is only 1/4 black but I was just hoping he'd be a little darker. But maybe he will gain a little color in the next couple years and if not he should be able to get an awesome tan during summer! :)
