My daughter is now 7 months. I have been breastfeeding since. Both nursing and bumping every day. My period started. Is this normal?

Very normal.  I've had friends who exclusively breast fed for the first full12 months and got their period back by 3 months and others who didn't get it back until 2 months after they stopped.  Any time is normal!!!

I'm was exclusively breasting my twin girls until until they were 7-8 months old and i was giving them real food.  My period started soon after that.  I was confused like you are.  I didn't know if it was normal or not.  But honestly, I felt better because without AF, i really didn't feel likea woman! :)  I'm still breastfeeding my twins, but only 3 times a day.  It was every 2-3 hours and now I'm spotting off and on for about a week now.  I think my body is just adjustingto the dramatic situation.  The girls are 20 months old.  Where planning on TTC one more time around August or Sept.  So this is why I was weaning them.  My OB couldn't be happier for me breastfeeding twins for this long.  I only breastfed my son for 9 months because I had to go back to work.  (He's 3 1/2 now!)  :)  Good luck....
