My success story for all worried and/or ttc

by sillyme2, Jul 18, 2006 12:00AM
Hi girls! I haven't posted in a while but wanted to update everyone. I am currently 31 weeks prego with a baby girl. I had a missed m/c last October at 12 weeks. This board helped me a lot after that. I found out I was prego again in Jan after 2 months of ttc. Immediately I started bleeding and thought that this pregnancy was doomed as well. I spotted off and on until I finally convinced by doc to do an u/s at 7 weeks. When I saw that little heartbeat I was overcome with joy. At 9 weeks I was in NYC for a conference when I started bleeding very heavily with large clots. I was certain that I had passed everything and this pregnancy was over. 2 days later when I was back home I had another u/s to confirm everything had passed, but lo and behold there was baby with a steady h/b. I was shocked, I can't even explain how shocked I was. Anyways, I spotted until about week 14 and then stopped. I rented a doppler and that was a lifesaver to be able to hear the h/b when I needed to but today I am sending it back. I can feel her move all the time and I am finally coming to understand that this is for real and this baby girl was meant to be mine. I hope that this helps all who have had a m/c and bleeding episodes. Sometimes it's nice to hear of a happy outcome instead of always bad. I can't wait to hold my baby girl!
You girls are awesome!!!

You already posted your own thread with this question and had many answers. Unsure why you think there was no room for you????

i think yesterday you mentioned that your dr.'s office said they'll call back after 5:00 - did they ever call you back? i wish i had more information, but honestly i don't know much else about this.

What a nice success story.  After losing 2 babies since January, it is nice to hear an uplifting story.  How fantastic for you.  Enjoy motherhood.

Thats a wonderful story, thanks for sharing. I have been trying for over a year and just had an op to remove endometriosis. The disese (disease) has destroyed one of my tubes, i am going to start injecting  myself with fertiltiy drugs when my next cycle begings and then doing icsi. This is when my dh's sperm is washed and injected as close to my eggs as possible. I will do that for 2 cycles and if it doesn't work it will be onto ivf. I hope i am lucky enough to come on here with a happy story soon.

no. i had to call them and i got ugly. i want to know why mine went down! i said i dont want to here that it happens all the time before it comes way up. i want answers. they go to school long enough they should know the reasons why someones body wont come up on clomid as many as there are on the ****. they are bumping me to 150 this time. but im sure im not the first in history that had a drop in prog. while on clomid. sorry but i am mad at docs right now.

Thanks for that post - you are right, it is great to hear good news.  I am playing the waiting game.  Only saw gestational sac at 8 weeks, and hcg levels are rising...but slowly.

I thought you got more than 2 answers to your post.  Maybe they are delaying in coming up on the site?  I have noticed that happens sometimes, I answer someone and my name comes up but it is hours before the item posts.

I am sorry I hope you did not take offense. I had glanced at your orig post and thought more people had responded. I could care less where you post and that was not what I meant. I often have to jump on someone elses post as well. I was on Clomid and never had a low prog level. Mine was at 44 on my third cycle and that was also the time I got preggers.   I hope the doctor can shed some light on this for you. Keep us posted!!!!

can you maybe speak to your dr. maybe about switching meds for you? how many cycles have you been on clomid? i know that when after i went on clomid for 3 cycles my dr. decided to switch me to letrazole (femara)- he said usually if clomid's going to work for someone it will be within the first three tries. he said usually if don't respond to clomid then the letrazole will work. it ended up working for me on the second time (with iui) - i ended up m/c but had nothing to do with the letrazole. i'm on it again (2nd cycle since m/c) and am hoping it'll work, otherwise he wants to start me on the shots - i really don't want to have to do the shots - i'm petrified of needles and can't imagine stabbing (ok, injecting) myself with one everyday, even though the truth is once i do get pregnant (G-d Willing soon) i'm going to have to inject myself with heparin due to blood clotting disorder - i guess i can't win - but if i get a healthy pregnancy it'll all be worth it :)anyway, sorry for going off on a tangent, but i really do hope you can get some answers from your dr. - maybe you want to get a 2nd opinion if they're not being cooperative. good luck with everything. hope it all works out for you soon.

Sometimes you need to hit refresh to get the posts to appear.  It has something to do with connections speeds.  Hit refresh and the new posts will be there.
