Need Advice

Ok I went to the docter least week due to cramping. From my last period I was 6 weeks. BUT my husband has been over seas and I know he wasn't here until a week after my period. so here are the dates.
First day of my last period- December 16
Husband arrives- December 22
Husband leaves- January 2

Anyways I went to the doctor and she did a internal ultra sound and could not find anything, just the gestational sac but no embryo or anything. So shes telling me I have to start thinking about a D&C. I have been very upset thinking I had a blighted ovum. So I have been thinking about it and there is absolutly to way I am 6 weeks. 5 weeks at the most and 4 weeks at the least, considering today is Feb 3. Now I know the docter has to count from the first day of your last period but how much of a possibility do you think shes wrong? Also my HcG levels are at 4,000, and thats very high even at 6 weeks. So the question is do I have a blighted ovum or twins I can't see yet? My option was to wait till the 6 (3days from now) and get a last ultra sound. But after rethinking it I think I want to wait another week to give the baby more time to grow so we can see it. Is that a good idea? Any feedback would help! Thankyou!

I think you are right to wait a week, you probably ovulated late and a couple of days can make all the difference on an ultrasound.  even 6 weeks some ladies do not see the baby only the sac,  so dont worry, good luck

I would wait as long as possible.  When I got pregnant we went by my last period and it was wrong.  I had a sono and we thought I should of been 6 weeks.  Sac measured 4 and no fetal pole dectected.  Went back a week later and sac measured 5 weeks still no fetal pole dectected.  Went back the following week found fetal pole.  Sac and fetal pole measured 6 weeks.  So I must of ovulated later than usual or it took longer to implant or both.  I now have a healthy 13 month old girl.  Don't give up hope just yet.  Give it a few more weeks.  My friend did not see hers for some reason until almost 9 weeks along.  Good luck.
