Need some input.

by Dancingonthebreeze, Jul 26, 2006 12:00AM
Hi All! I am new to this forum, and I have read many posts that have helped me out...So, I thought I would get some individual input if i could.

I am 23, and have been ttc for the past 6 or 7 months. I have been using the charting methods to track my ovulations. My cycle was due July 10th, and it never came. I have HPT but all say neg.
But, my cervix is high and doesn't feel normal (in reference to the past when my AF was on its way) Is there a possiblity that I am ovulating way way late?
Like 36 or something?

Have you been continuing to chart even though your period did not come on July 10th? What have your temps been doing?  Did you O as expected before July 10th?

Well, I thought so, but now I am not so sure....I mean I charted with out BD just to make sure I had it right. So this past month when my BBT spike 1.5 degrees and my cervix went up, got soft. So we BD'd for 5 days. This was on the 23rd of June. Could it be that hcg hasn't build up enough yet? Oh, and my body temperature for the past 7 days has been consistantly 99. I show no signs of being ill, though.
I want to say I feel pregnant, but it could just be PMS.

Well, BBT'ing does not predict ovulation.  It only confirms that it happened.  So timing your BD days around your BBT is not of much benefit.  You need to use OPK's to determine when you should be BD'ing.  By the time you know to BD based on your BBT, it's likely that it's too late to catch the egg.

Now, with that being said - Since you did have a spike around June 23rd I would wait and test around August 6th to see if you did catch an egg.

Good luck!

You think you ovulated on June 23rd?  I would think that it would show up by now, and your AF would show up.  My dr told that after you ovulate, it's 12-14 days after that your AF shows...and that part usually doesn't fluctuate in time.  Your time before you O does, but not after.  And they are still neg?  Are you usually reg?  It's been over 30 since you claim to have O so a test would show up pos. for sure.  If your lmp started on June23rd, then I would wait a little while and test again.  good luck:)

Oh geez, I'm blind.  Ignore everything I said about testing on August 6th.

If you ovulated around June 23rd, then yes, it would definitley show positive by now.  I read that as July 23rd, sorry.

If you have not had any other BBT indications that make you think you ovulated within the last two weeks, then you're probably not pg.  Your period may come on it's own, or you may need to get Provera from your doctor to jumpstart it.

Thanks hawki!
