your partner really needs to take her vitamens...especially if she is not eating right. if sheis just choosing not to take them, thats not ok, if she is really very sick, then i would suggest going to the dr. and discussing a vitamen that may be easier on her stomach or ideas of what to take with the vitamens to calm the nausea. the dr. can also suggest a dry diet to help her eat something when she is feeling sick. stress to her the importance of the vitamens. look up some info on the internet and print it out for her if you have to...

Definitely ask the doctor for a different prenatal vitamin. I couldn't take the regular ones in my first trimester. They made me 100 times more nauseous, but I told my doctor and she gave me some samples and a prescription. I could take the prescription vitamins just fine. I was able to take the regular prenatal vit once i was in my second trimester and my nausea had subsided.

The 1st trimester is the roughest.  My doctor told me that they wanted me to eat whatever I could keep down and not to worry too much about nutrition until the nausea subsided.  Which meant if the only thing I could eat was french fries, then so be it.  Her pregnancy is not the same as yours and she may only be able to tolerate twinkies.  Let her be until she feels less sick.  Also, prenatals made me sick as well.  I dreaded taking them.  Let her try the GNC ones or have her talk with her doctor about changing the ones she's taking.  I would take mine at night before bed so that I wasn't as sick.  Also, make sure she takes them on a full stomach.  She may not feel as nauseas.

Your partner sounds just like me.
I'm 3 months today.
I feel nauseated all the time and I can't stand to eat, even though I force myself because I'm still trying to find a doc cuz I jsut found out I was preg about a week ago.
And if you're wondering wtf, I just moved to texas from massachusetts so I don't have insurance yet so I'm setting myself up with medicaid, which is why I haven't seen a real doctor yet.

And so I force myself to eat only because I need to get as much nutrients as a possibly can until I'm put on vitamins.

But sometimes, I can't even eat because I feel so sick.

She's probably going through the same phase I am.
Most food makes me wanna puke.
I don't really wanna do anything.
Everytime I eat I feel sicker.

Try to sit down and talk to her and ask her what's wrong.
