New to site - Wondering about ec

This is my first time asking a question, however I have been coming to this site since November 2006.  That is when my doctor told me I was going to miscarry.  It was my first pregnancy and not knowing too much about miscarriages I was on the internet trying to find all I could.  This is how I stubled across this site.  Anyhow, I did end up having a miscarriage (D&C) at the end of November.  A month later I had an emergency appendectomy, where the surgery informed me I had endometerios.  Well here I am pregnant again (just found out early this week) and I am terrified it is going to be an ectopic pregnancy.  I know it sounds crazy but after doing research I found out not only does endometerios cause ectopic pregnancies, so does having an appendectomy.  So my question is if any of you have had an ectopic pregnancy, what symptons did you have and how soon after you found out you were pregnant did you start getting these symptons.  Don't get my wrong I am very exciting about being pregnant again, but just terrified at the same time.  I guess spending too much time on the computer researching can be a bad thing....lol.  Thanks

I have had two mc, no ectopic.  I have read that a pain in your shoulder is a sign of ectopic, as well as localized abdominal cramping.

Try not to worry.  Sometimes all the info out there just makes us worry needlessly.

I had 2 ectopics and the second one resulted in my right tube being removed.  With both there was cramping on one side. It started with blood when I would wipe.  The cramping was never bad enough to make me bend over but it made me nervous.  My HCG numbers were doubling slowly and the main thing was that my progesterone was low. I will being praying for you and a healthy 9 months

Thanks for the info.  I know I am probably paranoid, but I have been having slight cramps on one side.  How long did it take for your symptons to start.

The reason they say that appendectomy's can cause tubal pregnancies is the scar tissue.  It is rare, and while it is worrisome (I held my breath for a long time till we knew my pregnancy was in the right place), usually it is alright.  My appendectomy was in 2000, but was told at just past 6 weeks everything was where it should be.

Pregnancy also often makes Edrimitriosis better, at least that is what I've heard.
