New to this... baby movement question

This is my first pregnancy and I am 22 weeks along. I thought that i had felt my baby move a few time last week. but then it stopped after a few days and I haven't felt that since, but i have felt a different feeling that I think may have been the baby move. It really just feels like a gas bubble. Is this correct or normal.
Thanks ladies i am just so worried all the time that something is not right!

sorry one more question

How often should i feel the baby move? I feel it maybe like 2 times a day then i will go a day or two with nothing and then feel it again a time or two a few days after that.

Gas bubbles, thats the baby! I am 23 weeks, some days she moves a lot others not so much.  She is usually awake after I eat something or drink something with lots of sugar. As I type this she is kicking my butt pipe (only way I know how to explain this) it feels like I am farting, but I'm not.  It's her new trick LOL.

Thanks Sweetie! but I feel like an awful mother already cause I hear everyone say that they know when their baby is awake or asleep and I have no idea. I never feel it during the mornings or afternoons. The only time i ever have these gas bubble feelings is at night and it is only like twice that i feel it like every 3 days or so. What is wrong with me or does anyone else have this problem??? I am so confussed about all this

Don't worry, everyone is different.  Your baby will start moving a lot now.  Also, we only assume we know when they are wake because they are moving, but they could also be turing in their sleep. I was not sure when I first felt movements because it's my first, but when you get the same movements regularly then you kinda know.  Soon you are going to wish your baby will stop kicking so that you can get some rest.

It is hard to feel the baby early on, and gets more obvious the bigger and stronger baby gets. I am 24 weeks, and felt movement very early, but sometimes in the first few weeks, I wouldn't feel her move for a LONG time. Still sometimes, I go so long without feeling her, that I worry. Depending on your build, and baby's position, it may also be harder to feel at times, even when baby is moving a lot.

It's way too early to see a regular pattern in movement.  It took me until about 25-26 weeks to start to notice a real pattern and even then it wasn't completely consistent.  A lot of things can affect movement so don't stress about it too much.  My midwife told me that by 28-30 weeks you should feel about 10 movements a day so you still have some time.  And don't feel like a bad mother.  I'm 32 weeks and most of the time movement is just movement.  I can't tell a hiccup from a poke from a spin.  Obviuosly, I recognize strong kicks, but mostly I'm just happy to know he/she is moving and doing well.

I'm 21 weeks today and I'm just starting to differentiate between movements and gas. :)  My little one is usually pretty gentle in there, but on Sunday he kicked me so hard that DH finally got to feel him. :)  I was actually worrying about the whole movement thing too because I hadn't felt him much in the last couple days...it's reassuring to know that it'll take a few more weeks before movements are regular and easily identified.

I'm 19 weeks, and just in the past couple days do I feel secure that the swishes and plops I'm feeling aren't gas. It's cool because the baby starts up at 6ish every night.
I have a lot of trouble telling my pulse in my abdomen apart sometimes. That's pretty weird.

You probably are feeling the baby, but since we want it to be beyond a doubt, we can't stand ourselves until it's completely obvious.

When I was pregnant with my daughter, I didnt know when she was moving, either. I just thought I had gas a lot or an upset stomach! I feel so silly now, but I didnt realize it was her moving around til I had my ultrasound and actually SAW her moving and felt the same things! People were all like, Oh trust me you'll be able to tell, but it isnt that easy when you've never felt it before!
