No Fetus heartbeat at 9 weeks

No Fetus heartbeat at 9 weeks

I went for my first prenatal test yesterday(9 weeks) and the nurse found no heartbeat of the fetus using the doppler equipment. She says my uterus is slightly tilted backwards so it would be difficult to hear a heart beat and also becoz I've had a history of irregular periods. She has ordered an ultrasound in 2 weeks.Does this mean that there could be some problem with the fetus or could it be normal.

It is not easy to hear a fetal heartbeat with a Doppler device at 9 weeks.  Especially if your uterus is tilted backwards.\

The plan is a good one.  Get an ultrasound as they recommended in a week or two.

Yes, just wait for the sonogram. I had the same thinghappen to me at 14 weeks. The sonogram will tell it all to you.... Many pregnancys carry in the back, near the tailbone, even at 1, and 16 weeks, the heartbeat can be hard to find. Good luck

It is extremely difficult to pick up a heartbeat prior to 10 weeks.. you are 9..  I bet you see it with an ultrasound :)
